Affirming Voices is a gender-affirming voice training program for trans, nonbinary, and gender-expansive people who want to explore and embody their authentic voice—whether speaking, singing, or both. This program honors the voice as a deeply personal and powerful part of identity, and takes place in a supportive group setting where participants can learn alongside one another, share experiences, and build confidence together. By working in community, participants are able to witness and support each other through both the social and physical experiences of voice exploration.

Participants will work with Jackie Baron, Speech-Language Pathologist, and Mara Levi, Voice Teacher, combining evidence-based, trauma-informed vocal care with affirming, identity-centered instruction. Together, we focus on sustainable techniques that prioritize vocal health, agency, and self-trust, while creating space for experimentation and growth at each person’s own pace. Affirming Voices isn’t about fitting into a box—it’s about finding the voice that feels like home, in community, with care.

Registration will happen here

We’ll add a registration form once we have a location and time secured! Our hope is to hold this beginning March 3, twice monthly on Tuesdays, with a group of 7-12 adults.

If you know of a minor who’s interested in a similar program, please get in touch - this program is specifically for adults but if we have enough interest we could create a separate program for kids under 18.
